The sculpture on the left represents the side of gratitude and the idea that less is more. The sculpture is someone sprouting up from the ground with a rose as a head to show that they are connected to the Earth, as all humans are. The base was made circular to contribute to the organic style of the piece. It is coated with wood stain to make it resemble dirt without actually putting dirt on the base.
